Brittany Marrow was born November 10, 1989, in Price Georges County Maryland. She began her study of art at Suitland High School in the Visual and Performing Arts department. Her interest in art came from her talents within herself. She had no outside influences such as a parent, sibling or family member. This made her exploration of art more interesting and unique because she was the only one in her family who was an artist.
During high school at Suitland, she explored many aspects of art, taking multiple classes in Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Printmaking, Art History and completed many independent multi-media projects. That was the start of her emersion in art, it helped her to shape her understanding and her passion for art. During the summer of 2006, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College program studying intensely in sculpture. She graduated from Suitland top five percent of her class, in the national honors society, with a diploma in Visual Arts.
Brittany is currently a student at Maryland Institute College of Art completing her BFA in General Fine Arts with a concentration in Experimental Fashion. She continues to grow as an artist and designer. An active student, she was the Coordinator and Director of MICA’s 16th annual Benefit Fashion Show 2009 which has defined her leadership and creative skills in the field of fashion. She has also participated in the MICA mentoring network for two years, mentoring freshman students to help guide and them into their college career. Letting her passion for art lead her life, Brittany is constantly transforming as an artist while learning how to express her interest in woman’s identity, the female figure and the dynamic between men and women.
